Wedding

The Short and Sweet - Starts at $1250

We love weddings: the friends, the food, the music. There are two times in your life when you have everyone you love in one room—your wedding and…. your funeral. But the truth is that we feel that wedding photography has grown to be overhyped. So with that in mind, we offer one package for weddings.

3 hours include:
- 40 minutes before the ceremony
- The ceremony
- Group family photos
- Bride and Groom Session

On average, the couple walks away with about 125-150 color-corrected images and two specialty edits of the bride and groom. All digital images are delivered in full resolution, with an option to print through our high-end photo finishing service or print independently.

* Second shooters are available and subject to quote.

Buildings up to 3000 square feet. The gallery includes interior and exterior HDR photos + a “blue sky swap” for those cloudy, gloomy days.

Drone photography is also available upon request for an additional $100, but it is contingent on the NAV Canada fly zone regulations. We WILL NOT fly our drone in a controlled air space.

Buildings larger than 3000 square feet will be subject to quote.

Videography

If you have a project in mind, whether it be an instructional video or a three-minute “about us” promotional video, I will follow up with a free consultation. From the consultation, I will provide a detailed proposal, including timelines, deliverables, and pricing.

FAQ

  • I get asked this question a lot: What do I wear to my portrait photography session or interview?

However, I honestly don’t have a preference about what you wear – I can work with almost any outfit, any color, any accessory. As long as you are dressed professionally — with neatly ironed clothing – I can work with almost any attire.

But I do have a few “tips” that will make your session easier and more polished – while still being unique to you.

Bottom line is that I would prefer you were clothing that makes YOU comfortable and shows your personality!

Necklines: When choosing a shirt or dress, the most important thing to consider is the neckline. Don’t wear a big turtleneck or a too-tight collar – or a too-loose collar. And women, skip the cleavage-revealing top. For men, I don’t think a tie is always necessary for a professional portrait photography session, but it should be neatly tied and fit well.

Sleeves: I have a preference for shirts and dresses that have sleeves – long-sleeves. I find too much skin can distract from your face in a portrait photography session, and also, even if you have very thin or toned arms, they don’t always appear that way in images.

Accessories: I personally love jewelry, and if you wear it normally, definitely wear it to your session. Overly large necklaces and earrings can be a bit distracting, so I do tend to recommend smaller pieces. However, if you are known for your statement necklaces, wear them

As for glasses, I get asked this a lot. If you wear glasses, wear glasses in your images. It’s a part of who you are, and I can work with angles to eliminate glare.

Colour: Bold colours that work with your skin and hair tones are the best for your portrait. I don’t generally recommend prints because I think they can appear too busy and compete with your face for control of the image, but if you are a bold pattern person, don’t shy away.

The bottom line, I want my clients to feel comfortable and as much like themselves as possible. These are my suggestions only – I trust my clients to choose outfits that bring out their personality and flair.

  • Below are our three options for Licensing and Ownership.

OPTION - A - Exclusive  Licensing - INCLUDED IN MY DAY RATE

Exclusive use is when a client purchases the right to be the sole user of images. The exact specifications are typically outlined in a contract. This means the image will not be used by anyone other than the original buyer and the photographer. The photographers’ use would be limited to a portfolio and general marketing material.

OPTION B - Buyout (Transfer of Copyright) - $50 - $350 per image (cost is based on client desired use. IE client webpage and social media branding would have a lower cost per image price than a publication like, say, National Geographic)

A client is paying a one-time fee to buy out the full rights to the image. This means that the copyright is being transferred to the client, and the photographer would no longer be able to use, display, or sell the use of this image moving forward. The photographer would need permission from the client to use the image in their portfolio or social media.

OPTION C - Standard Licensing Use - Based on negotiations.  (The session cost would be discounted to account for possible future profits.)

Non-exclusive means that the buyer has the right to use the image, but the photographer maintains the right to re-license the image to other parties for various uses. It is common in architecture/interior photography, where multiple parties create the final space. The architect or interior designer may hire you, and the flooring or window company may also want to use the image. This does not allow the client to resell the images to a third party. The exact specifications would be outlined in a contract.
